Needs vs. Want
Hello ARMYs! How are you? I hope you are doing well.
Today's topic is "Needs vs. Want." A need is defined as something that is essential or very important to one's life. There are things that we can't live without such as food, shelter, and more. Meanwhile, want is a desire to possess or do something. Basically, it is something that we can live without. How can we differentiate between both?
Well, everyone has different needs and wants. What I need doesn't mean it is also what you need. I believe everyone is capable of choosing what's best for themselves. We just need to make sure that our needs and wants do not affect us in a negative way. For example, needs include education, family, a job, and money. Meanwhile, wants include fancy houses, jobs with high status, being rich, and more.
There's nothing wrong with having different needs and wants, as everyone comes from different backgrounds. External factors can also affect what we define as needs and wants. As long as we learn to be respectful and understanding of each other's perspectives, that is enough.
Until we meet again, wonderful ARMYs
