What is Thanatophobia?

 Hello, ARMYs!!! How are you doing? I hope you're doing well.

This month has been like a rollercoaster for us. We get some good news and some bad news, too. But, I hope we ARMYs will always stay together and trust our Bangtan. We are family, and family support each other through thick and thin. APOBANGPO! 💜💜💪


Today's topic is a suggestion from my friend. It is about the fear of losing someone or what can be called as Thanatophobia. Is it okay to feel that way? Will it harm us in any way? 


Before that, a disclaimer, that this is based on my perspective about life. There is no right or wrong about it.


I believe everything needs to be in balance. Fear is also one of our emotions like anger, anxiety, embarrassment and all. Having a fear of losing our loved ones is normal. I fear losing my loved ones, too. I will do everything to keep them safe, happy and loved. However, we are all human beings who have no control over the future. Only God has that. So, try as best as you can to keep them protected and also have faith in God to keep them in peace even if they are not within your reach.


Furthermore, TOO much fear of losing them can also be a sign of insecurity. Sometimes, the more we entertain those thoughts, the more it will ingrained in our head, and the more it will likely to happen. It is as if we are the ones sabotaging the relationship. Remember that you are worthy of being with them. And, remember that if you are meant to be in their life, nothing can ever separate you and them. 


People come and go. Some come to teach us life lessons, some come to give us beautiful memories, and some come to give us both. Always remember that you are worth it. If someone leaves you due to misunderstanding, not being considerate of you, make you feel bad about yourself, maybe those people are not good for you. Because people who genuinely love you for who you are will always try to communicate with you and understand you because they don't want to lose you as their friend or lover.
