How to Get Good Quality of Sleep?
Hello, ARMYs!! How are you? How's your life lately?
We have already reached mid-November. And now Jin's album is already out!!! I love how beautiful and unique each song is. So far, I think "Running Wild" and "I Will Come to You" might be my favorite from the album.
Today's topic is about sleep. Since having enough and good quality sleep is one of the ways of loving ourselves. So, here are tips on how we can get good quality sleep:
- Make a sleep schedule/routine: You can go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, including weekends. You also can set an alarm if you feel like you might miss out on the time to sleep. This can help with our circadian rhythm.
- Avoiding electronics usage before bed: Stop any screen time usage at least two hours before bed. The blue light from the electronic devices can make it harder for us to fall asleep. You can start by slowly reducing the screen time usage before bed. Start with 30 minutes before bed, then 1 hour, and so on.
- Limiting naps: It is recommended to have only a short time of nap or avoid napping after mid-afternoon. A 20- to 30-minute nap is ideal.
- Avoid large meals before bed: It is best to stop eating large meals about three hours before bed. This can give time for our body to digest the food that we ate, so it won't disturb our sleep later.
- Exercising regularly: Do some physical activities that you enjoy. It can be whether cardio workouts, lifting weights, yoga, Pilates and many more.
- Avoid nicotine and caffeine: Both are stimulants that can lead to heightened alertness and delayed sleep. You also can engage with something relaxing before bed, such as reading, listening to white noise, etc.
If nothing you try helps, please seek your health care provider as they can help provide personalized solutions.
I hope these tips will be helpful. This topic is also relatable to me, as my sleep schedule is a mess. In my case, avoiding or limiting screen time before bed is very important.
That's all for now. Take care, ARMYs. Borahae πππ
