Since it's a new year, it's important to implement some good and healthy habits for our well-being. A little change towards positivity can impact our day-to-day lives. So, practicing some healthy habits is important as what we do consistently in our lives can affect our future as well. Hence, today's topic will be "4 Good Habits to Start Our Day".
First and foremost, start your day with a glass of plain water. Hydration is important to our health. It's recommended to drink a full glass of water first before drinking coffee or tea, as it can interfere with our cortisol levels. You can wait about an hour or two after waking up before having a cup of coffee.
Next is having breakfast. It is important not to skip breakfast. This is because skipping breakfast can delay the effective functioning of our cognitive abilities. If you don't have enough time in the morning, prepare a quick to-go breakfast such as cereal, oatmeal, granola bar, etc.
Furthermore, starting your day with gratitude and positive affirmations can be a great life changer. The more we are grateful for what we have, the more we will attract abundance. Besides, positive affirmations help to boost our confidence to slay the day during work or at school. You can say the affirmations to yourself or write them in a journal.
Finally, you can include physical activity in your morning routine. It doesn't have to be strenuous activity, a light stretching is also enough to "wake up" our body and get ready for the day.
