4 Habits We need to Break π£
Hello, lovelies !!! How are you doing so far? I hope you're doing well. We have a few months to go before we can finally have an OT7 reunion, so please don't lose hope and keep moving forward πππͺ
Since our goal this year is to be a healthier, better version of ourselves, let's go with some unhealthy habits to avoid and stop. Here is a list of unhealthy habits that we need to break :
1) Eating late at night or before bedtime
This can cause indigestion and disrupt sleep. Eating close to bedtime causes the body to work hard to digest food, which can lead to restlessness and insomnia. In the long term, this unhealthy habit can lead to obesity as well. It is recommended to finish meals a minimum of three hours before going to bed.
2) Lack of physical activity
Regular exercise is important for good physical and mental health. Not moving enough or sitting too much can lead to an inactive lifestyle, which can lead to various health issues. It is important to include any physical activity at least three times a week. This can include achieving 10K steps a day, doing strength training and many more.
3) Unhealthy stress management
Stress is a feeling that we can't avoid at some point in life, but it is important to manage it healthily. Relying on unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as substance abuse (drugs/alcohol) or emotional eating, are harmful ways of dealing with stress.
4) Self-sabotage
This refers to intentional action that undermines one's progress. Negative self-talk is one example of self-sabotage. The way you talk to yourself every day is crucial. Always appreciate your progress whether it is small or big.
